One of most anticipated head units of the season is soon to be released just before the new year. Sony’s XAV X100 featuring Apple’s Car Play and Android Auto. It is one of the only double din radios to feature both Car Play and Android Auto in a 6.4-inch screen. But the most attractive feature of this unit is a retail of $699.99 CND. Before we get into additional features, we borrowed this great video from YouTube. It shows a head to head comparison for both Android Auto and Car Play, click the link below:

One of the greatest features of the head-unit is the ergonomic rotary dial for distraction-free operation or volume knob. A small list of additional features are:
- Triple pre-outs
- 10-band equalizer
- 4 x 55-watt amplification
- Bluetooth Hands-Free calling
- BT Audio
- Rear camera input
- Dynamic Stage Organizer or DSO
Let’s explore the definition of Dynamic Stage Organizer:
Dynamic Stage Organizer creates virtual speakers on your dashboard
Enjoy authentic-sounding music from any setup, thanks to the Dynamic Stage Organizer (DSO). If your speakers are positioned in your doors, the sound they produce may be affected. DSO re-calibrates their frequency output, making music sound as if it is coming from speakers on your dashboard.
Sounds like an interesting feature, we look forward to trying this feature in a vehicle. We like the simple layout and accessibility of Sony’s XAV X100. When the units arrive, we will do a follow up on the operation of this head-unit. For more info or to find a retailer near you sign up for our newsletter or use the contact us page.
